Etailer to take part in 'buy two XO laptops, get one' promotion
Amazon UK is set to become the latest retailer to take part in the OLPC 'buy two, get one' programme.
The charity programme, which is based on the idea that wealthier consumers pay for one XO laptop for themselves and another for a child in a poorer country, saw some success in the US last year when the retailer ran the promotion.
Details of the promotion emerged in an interview with OLPC's EMEA chief executive Matt Keller. Speaking to IDG, Keller said that Amazon would be stocking the XO laptop from November, but that it would only be for a limited period.
