Service and knowledge being brought to forefront in new move by consumer electronics retailer
"Comet is on a journey." That was the message the retailer's content manager Robbie Tutt gave PC Retail while talking about the recent relaunch of its website.
"We did a lot of customer research and basically, that drove the change. We went out to our customers directly and asked them what they thought of our home page," explained Tutt, saying that many had described it as too cluttered.
"Previously our homepage was very price and product focused, and while price, products and promotions are still very important, Comet as a brand is positioning itself as one for service and an expert point of view, so this is providing excellent customer service.
"The service we're offering through things like Comet on Call is improving all the time as is the level of service that we offer. The demand has increased a lot since the website relaunch and with the new initiatives we have in the pipeline, we hope to see that carry on as we launch them just before the peak trading period."
