Vendor warns of product shortages in the coming weeks
Computing giant Apple has distributed a memo to resellers allegedly warning that the company will be reducing production of their current-generation iPods and MacBooks.
The memo has been sent out as the firm makes a number of product transitions and apparently advises partners to immediately stock enough iPods to last four weeks and enough MacBooks to last three.
This latest development comes amid a whirlwind of speculation that Apple plans to develop a new range of laptops, including a touch interface mobile PC as well as another range of iPods.

Same old Apple startegy, work everyone up into a frenzy about a product, don't stock enough of the product for the demand, then make the product obsolete within months.
So predictable...
