Maverick signs Toshiba AV deal

C2000 division becomes vendor's broadline distributor for projector products following shakeup
Toshiba has announced Computer 2000's AV division Maverick has been appointed as the firm's new broadline distributor for its projector range.
The move was motivated by the vendor's decision to transfer control of its projector business from its German operations to the computer systems division. It had been under the UK's consumer division previous to that.
The vendor's previous distributor Midwich ended its deal with Toshiba at the end of March.
Its computer systems division has strong links with C2000, with it already distributing the firm's projectors for the past few years – prior to the acquisition of Maverick – so the move wasn't unexpected by channel observers.
