MacBook revamp expected in Q3

Apple predicted to launch redesigned laptop line shortly after launch of new Penryn chips

Apple is preparing to radically revamp its laptop line up this autumn, according to AppleInsider.

The website is reporting that Apple will be revealing radical changes to the designs of its MacBook and MacBook Pro, with both to take design leanings from the Air and new aluminium iMacs.

The next refresh is expected sometime during the third quarter with AppleInsider citing Intel's launch of its Montevina chipsets as dictating whether it comes out.

It added that it expects the new MacBooks to range between 2.26GHz and 2.8GHz.

Bloody glad I found out about this today. I'll probably hold off on getting a new MacBook Pro now until then.

Hopefully they'll include a bloody graphics card in the new MacBook instead of Intel's crappy integrated graphics
