ITAC UK goes into administration

Manchester-based ITAC UK falls into administration, KPMG to launch investigation

Sub-distributor ITAC UK has gone into administration, leading some to question the stability of such firms in general.

KPMG has been made the official administrator of the troubled company, which has partner deals with Microsoft, CA, Symantec, Adobe and McAfee, reported CRN.

“We were appointed on Monday. It is early days and we are carrying out a detailed investigation into what went wrong,” said Paul Flint, administrator at KPMG.

Eddie Pacey, director of credit at one of ITAC’s creditors Bell Micro added: “It makes me question whether these kind of businesses are still viable businesses.”

I think its still a viable business, its just a matter of time that a company (engaged in hugh distribution of network security products) like ITAC-UK has reached this stage. But history says itself whenever good companies are able to come out of their bad times they themselves create histories.

I believe one thing that is bad things always happen to Good Companies. Sometimes we just have to swallow a day or two of bad press coverage. I would like to mention my sincere good wishes and I believe that very soon ITAC will get back their former position in the market.

I believe the staff have been dealt with by the company and owner in good manner, but their has been no information coming from the administrators. This company meant everyhthing to the owner, and i can honestly say he will not of just let this happen, he will of done and probably still is doing everything in his power to sort the problems out. Ive never met a boss who thought of his staff more than this guy.

When a ship is about to sink due to a storm it is the RATS who run off from the ship. Then the ship survives and reached the shore to reach its ultimate destiny full of life and success.
ITAC AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES ARE ALSO GOING THROUGH SUCH A STROM. Let the RATS run off and I am sure this organisation is heading to its brightest moments. Every empire that we see whether reliance or Mocrosoft have gone through such rough phases and they have proven their mantle and today they are the world leaders.
Optimism is the key to such, I don't think any entrepreneur will like to throw his enterprise and diswon his enterprise during such rough phase.... best of luck to this organisation and I am sure ITAC or its subsidiaries and going to enter into a good smooth phase very soon...its just a matter of time....

Well I worked for GSEC1, I enjoyed my 3 years there, it was a shame it all went, it was like a little family, I admired the Director for what he did for the company, I do feel that we were left in the dark till the very last minute, but at the same time, what good would telling anyone be? It was the last day we were all together and we all guessed what was happening, we still all had a laugh anyway. Ill miss working there and Ill miss working with the retards that came to become good friends :P

I will also second Anon2, whenever I needed help I knew I could go to him for help be that financially or personally. I do believe that the company will be back up and running, I dont believe that all the same staff will return. I wish anyone that does go back the best of luck and also anyone that doesnt.

As a former employee of an Itac subsiduary i would just like to say that i think this is a sad day. the CEO is a guy that put everything into making his business dealings succesful. I have huge respect for anyone that puts so much of themselves into a business. I wish everyone involved in ITAC and it's subsiduaries every success for their futures. For the CEO, thank you for the opportunities that you gave me, and i am sure that with the vision and the drive that I know you
have, you will come back bigger and stronger.

I am really surprised by the hypocrisy of some of the people who commented on this page. The best thing to do I guess is to ask the view of 60 or so employees in the Chennai Office. GSec1 has been relaunched in Bangalore but most of the staff has refused to rejoin apart from one.
