Touchscreens a major mobile trend at 2008 Consumer Electronics Show

Mobile internet device vendors showcased new touchscreen panels in the majority of their mobile products at the CES in Las Vegas. This has sparked expectations that the demand for touchscreen devices will rise throughout 2008.

Companies such as Samsung Electronics, Fujitsu and BenQ, cooperated with Intel when displaying their upcoming devices.

In addition to touchscreen functionality, the vendors also unveiled new four to seven inch panels.

Nokia also showcased several mobile internet devices but only showed just the one touchscreen product, the N810.
