Warner Music to sell through Amazon, and dumps DRM in the process

Warner music has revealed its intentions to sell its music on Amazon’s new MP3 store, and has made its complete catalogue DRM-free. Now only Sony BMG is using the oft-criticised protection platform.

This is good news for Amazon, which now has over 2.9 million songs in MP3 format from over 33,000 labels.

Warner has also plans to sell its MP3s through Apple iTunes.

Amazon are planning a big promotion for its new MP3 store, by giving away over a billion tracks.
