Apple bites a chunk out of laptop sales

Sales up 65 per cent on like for like figures
Fourteen per cent of laptop sales in the US during May were Apples according to official sale figures released by NPD this week. The figures put Apple firmly in fourth place behind market leaders HP, Gateway and Toshiba.
Like for like sales were up 65 per cent from the previous year, with a 14 per cent rise in sales between April and May.
The continued growth of Apple’s market-share has seen some suggest that it could become the number three within one or two years.
